About This Item
Toronto: S. B. Gundy, 1927. Book. Near Fine. Hardcover. First Printing of the First Edition. Fine but for superficial cracking visible between half title page and title page. This is cosmetic, as the binding is still secure, and attached. The jacket is just very good, with some amateur restoration, that works surprisingly well. Internally taped reinforcement to top and bottom edges, and flap folds, mask the chips at crown and heel of spine, and top of back panel. Decent colour match makes the striking jacket still presentable. See photos. This is the first canadian edition from the Doubleday sheets, with the stated first edition. Gundy on jacket and title page. Scarce thus..
