London: Printed by W. Bowyer and J. Nichols: and sold by J. Dodsley, 1772. First Collected Edition. Hardcover. Quarto, xi, [1], 380 pages. In Very Good condition. Bound in contemporary polished calf. Paneled spine with gilt stamping, morocco label and gilt titling. Hinges elegantly repaired, with new head and tail bands. Some scuffing and shelf wear to boards. Top edge of text block dyed black. Bookplate removed from front pastedown. Mezzotint portrait present. Text block shows mild general foxing. Name of John Atkinson in ink on half-title of 'The Pleasures of Imagination.' Shelved in Case 0. Bowyer's and Nichols's records show that five hundred copies of this work were printed. ESTC: T87552. 1363554. Shelved Dupont Bookstore.
