About This Item

London: Fisher Unwin, 1904. Fourth edition. This is a very good (or better) copy. The elaborate gilt cloth, designed by Althea Gyles, is bright and presentable. There are some blemished areas and some very slight bumping at the corners and spine tips. The internals are clean and free from previous owners ink, though the front hinge is slightly cracked. The rough-cut text blocks are markedly clean. Overall, this is a very good (or better) copy of a beautiful production.

Published with an additional preface, being a bibliographical note, to add "some passages to 'The Land of Heart's Desire,' and a new scene of some little length, besides passages here and there, to 'The Countess Cathleen'.
