Cairo: Maktabat Al Adab. Good with no dust jacket. [1982]. Softcover. 932 pages. Genealogical tables, map. 6 volumes, complete. Cream card covers with French on the "front cover", otherwise entirely in Arabic, printed back to front to Western eyes. Covers have very minor age, spines a little darkened, interiors clean and unmarked. A new edition, "munie de preface, de commentaires, et d'etudes." OCLC 10432443. A reprint of the 1926 edition with a new introduction. Cheikho was a Chaldean who was fascinated by the connections between early Christianity and the development of Islam. Some of his ideas did not go over well with Muslim scholars. In this Arabic volume he directly addresses Christianity and Christian literature in Arabia before the rise of Islam. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall .
