E-255. Very Good. Leather. Leather. 12mo. Edward Moxon/Strahan & Co/Henry S King/C. Kegan Paul London, UK. 1848-1880. 12 volumes. Bound by Bickers & Son in full white gilt decorated leather with gilt design present to the boards with Tennyson's monogram present to the front board with raised bands and blue spine labels present to the spine. Silk ribbon bookmark. All edges gilt. Silk bookmarks. Boards lightly rubbed and worn and soiled (blue marks present to Enoch Raden and In Memoriam from blue leather from another set rubbing against this set). Text is clean and free of marks. Binding tight and solid. Alfred Tennyson, 1st Baron Tennyson, FRS (6 August 1809 – 6 October 1892) was Poet Laureate of Great Britain and Ireland during much of Queen Victoria's reign and remains one of the most popular British poets. EB; 8vo 8" - 9" tall .
