Lightly scuffed covers and spine; rubbed at spine ends with light fraying; rubbed at fore corners, boards just exposed; tightly bound; neatly reglued at front and rear end paper hinges; neat gift inscription on front fly dated 1881; some foxing on prelims and on frontispiece tissue guard; very clean interior but few text pages have stain from newsprint laid in.
