Boston: James B. Osgood, 1873. Complete Edition. The painting is hard to fuces and therefor grainy. Complete Edition" xii, 481p. Illustrated with plates and with a fore-edge painting signed by Vera Dutter. Bound in full tree calf with marbled endpapers, a.e.g., the spine with gilt titles and ornaments. Binding rebacked with original spine laid down. Another seller has suggested that "This fore-edge painting was painted by Vera Dutter and sold by her in 1972 to William Thomas, Bookseller, Mechaincsburg, PA, for $45 at the time. The name of the fore-edge painting is 'Bridge at Sunset'.
