Bookplate of Sara Hunt Thesmar who was a reviewer for the Memphis Commericial Appeal. Book plate is Sara Hunt her maiden name and under it she she has inscribed "Dec 1954 Thesmar Review" The review appeared Jan 17th 1954
Synopsis
Uncle Daniel Ponder may be a bit simple, but his heart is made of gold, and so is his fortune, but he's always giving things away. His niece Edna Earle keeps a watchful eye on him as he falls in love with 17-year-old Bonnie Dee. The young girl gives him a "trial marriage" and then leaves Uncle Daniel with a broken heart. But why is gentle Uncle Daniel being charged for murder?
