This is but one volume of many published by Popular Mechanics at the time, advertised as using "clear and concise language" and geared towards "anyone who has the slightest mechanical instinct, including women". This particular book compiles previous Popular Mechanics articles on carpentry tools and equipment, tips, techniques, and projects, helpfully accompanied by b/w photo-illustrations and diagrams.
