Born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvani, May 20, 1890, Dr. Philip D. Bookstaber, a national leader in Jewish affairs, died also in Harrisburg at age 72. He was the spiritual leader of Temple Ohev Sholom there for 38 years, retiring from the Reform congregation in 1962.
