SIGNED by the author, inscribed warmly inside front flap, "to Friend Roth, in high esteem," 1928. No additional signed copies available on-line currently. Sturdy, attractive, tightly bound hardcover, clean, if toned, minimal rubbing to extremities. Bound in black linen cloth over boards, gilt lettering to spine. Born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvani, May 20, 1890, Dr. Philip D. Bookstaber, a national leader in Jewish affairs, died also in Harrisburg at age 72. He was the spiritual leader of Temple Ohev Sholom there for 38 years, retiring from the Reform congregation in 1962. Frontis matter, 1-211 pp.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards. Additional postage may be required for oversize or especially heavy volumes, and for sets.
