n.p. (Los Angeles): n.p., 1923. Hardcover. Very good. 8vo. 146pp.. Blue cloth, gilt title on the upper board. Light wear and soil. stain in front endpaper gutter, 1931 clipping pasted to front pastedown recounting the 1931 death of Edward Towne, a Cheyenne newspaperman, who in 1892, accompanied as a staff correspondent a group of stockmen and Texas gunmen into Johnson county to end cattle rustling.
Previous owner name and address on front free endpaper in pencil.
First issued by A. S. Mercer in 1894, the edition was mostly burned by "interested authorities". CFondisered the basic authority of the Johnson County War.
