About This Item
Gil Hodges was a devout Roman Catholic and took up the collection on Sundays at one of the Brooklyn Parishes. He was very well liked. But the book is about one family, their love and their devotion to Brooklyn Dodgers. Which paid off in 1955, which is the climax of the book. Yeah I remember being in the third grade , hearing the Loudspeaker come and the principal saying the Dodgers Won THE WORLD SERIES> SCHOOL IS OUT!! And out we went to pandemonium, people running up and down the streets. Wild joy. I never say such delight in living again in Brooklyn.Slight fading bottom of spine. Spine has title, author, publisher in silver gilt.. Text is unmarked. Very Lively writing that will take you back. Consider a Brooklyn two fer with our number 1787, Brooklyn's Dodgers. Make an offer for the two books.
