A smartly bound first edition of this collection of political and sociological writing from Bernard Shaw. First edition. With an illustrated title page. A collection of pamphlets, journal articles, and essays on political and social issues of the time, with commentaries covering a period of almost thirty years. Written by George Bernard Shaw, an Irish playwright, critic, polemicist and political activist. Bound in half crushed morocco with blue cloth boards. Externally, smart with light fading to the spine and marks to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with the odd spot. Light spotting to the endpapers. Previous owner's bookplate to the front pastedown. Very Good Indeed

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
