About This Item
Chicago: E.H. Sargent & Company, 1914. Limp cloth. Very good. Quarto size, 382 pp. A catalogue offering for sale "scientific laboratory apparatus" which, we are assured, will either be in stock or "we will import or make to order promptly at a reasonable price" (n.b., from the "Announcement" - i.e., Introduction). Included is a particularly nice section on scales, but a wide range is offered, most with illustrations and all with the then-current prices.
___DESCRIPTION: Bound in full cordovan-coloured textured cloth over cardstock covers, narrow blind ruled border on both covers, gilt lettering on the front and spine, all edges stained red, brown endpapers, illustrated throughout; quarto size (10 3/8" by 7"), pagination: [1-2] 3-382.
___CONDITION: A solid very good copy, the covers mostly clean with a few spots of soil, a strong, square text block with solid hinges, the interior is clean and bright, and the sole prior owner marking we see a name on the top of the front free endpaper with the notation "His Book / 1920"; some wear to the cloth covers most noticeable at the head and tail of the spine and the front joint, the corners somewhat rubbed, and a light crease to the back cover.
___POSTAGE: International customers, please note that additional postage may apply as the standard does not always cover costs; please inquire for details.
