Corners are bumped and a little frayed Spine ends are crushed, with noticeable splits and chips. Tanning to spine and edges. Boards are bowed. Book has a forward lean. Water marks to boards and spine.

Moderate foxing and tanning to pages with pen inscriptions to front endpaper and heavier foxing and tanning to text block edges. Both hinges are cracked with exposed netting and binding is loose. Boards have light rubbing and minor bumping to corners. Fair crushing to spine ends.

Binding is slightly loose. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Gilt lettering is darkened. Minor tanning to spine and edges with crushing to spine ends. Minor splits to spine ends and corners causing cloth to be frayed. Book has a slight forward lean. Visible wear marks to boards.

Pages are moderately tanned and thumbed at the edges, with creased corners and foxing. Binding has remained firm. Boards are a little rub worn with slight shelf wear to corners, spine and edges. Corners are a little bumped and spine ends are a mildly crushed, with small splits and chips. Tanning to spine and edges. Boards are bowed. Book has a forward lean. Water marks to boards and spine.

Caldwell Pub. circa 1890, Good, No date, small hardcover, green cloth spine with gilt worn away, faux panel boards with color paste-on illustration of man in boat, 'Alcazar Series' under illustration, rubbing and light cracking at edges, short inscription and ownership stamp on endpaper, page 400 has lat inch torn away and missing.

Pages are rather marked with pronounced tanning and mild foxing, plus thumbing. Previous owner's inscription to front endpaper. Slight hinge cracking. Small edge tear to frontis and first few pages. Text block edges intensely tanned and a little uneven. Boards have some edge wear, with pronounced bumping and fraying to corners, while spine ends are crushed and frayed. Rather scratched, rubbed and marked overall. Slight fraying to joints. Spine is noticeably sunned. Boards are slightly bowed. Gilt is bright.
