New York: Grosset & Dunlap, 1937. Book. Illus. by Illustrated By Helen Sewell. Good++. Hardcover. 10 3/4" X 8 3/4". Light rubbing along top edge of picture cover boards. Discoloration along gutter inside front cover, probably from glue on binding. Decorated endpapers, owner inscription on fep. 40 pages, color illustrations, no stamps or writing in text. 7 full page color illustrations. Light rubbing to dust jacket, small tears and creases along edges except spine edges which have longer tears, 1/2" at top edge, 1 1/2" at bottom edge. Dust jacket now in a protective mylar wrapper..

Published during the Golden Age of the detective novel, it featured an amateur sleuth setting about to solve a mysterious murder during a party at an English country house.
