About This Item

New York: A.L. Burt Company, 1911 A beautiful book, the nicest of this edition we've ever seen. Green boards with red imprinting on the front and spine and a b/w pastedown on the front cover that is NOT faded or rubbed. Very minor wear to the corners, consistent with shelf-wear, else as new. The top and bottom of the spine are somewhat bumped and barely worn, consistent with shelf-wear, else as new. 340+ pages which are clean, crisp, unmarked and uncreased with no foxing or tanning. Several beautiful b/w illustrations that are clean, unmarked, uncreased with no rubbing or fading. The binding is so good and tight it appears to be unread. A fine collector's edition from a non-smoking household. We ship daily.. Decorative Cloth. Fine+/No Jacket. Illus. by Gilbert, John Clitheroe. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.

Synopsis

This book is also about bringing a message to our thoughts. It is about caring for others less fortunate than yourself and helping them to better themselves. Our president Ronald Regan agreed with its message, and tried to give it others. The printer hires a man that no one in the town will hire because he is so unkept. He comes to find that the man, Dick, is honest and hard working. A worthy person in disguise, and together they get involved in a group of people who wish to reach out to poor wanderers. Please Note: This book has been reformatted to be easy to read in true text, not scanned images that can sometimes be difficult to decipher. The Microsoft eBook has a contents page linked to the chapter headings for easy navigation. The Adobe eBook has bookmarks at chapter headings and is printable up to two full copies per year. Both versions are text searchable.
