London: Monotype Corp, 1964. First Edition. Wraps. Very Good. Printed wraps; 29 pages and 9 plates. Prined by the University Press, Oxford. Preface by Frank Francis, Stanley Morison, and John Carter. The text of a lecture on the exhibition Printing and the Mind of Man whose subject was the contribution of print to public debate as an essential preliminary to the formation of democratic public policy. This copy INSCRIBED by Carter on the front endpaper: "for E. A. Lowe/from the writer of the Preface/9 Sept. 64." There is also a signature of "John Carter" at the top of the front cover, but the handwriting does not completely resemble Carter's.
