A comic novel about college football, featuring "one of the most charming, most engaging characters to appear in recent fiction -- a creature of rare good humor and sanity -- the man from Wittemberg, Professor Fodorski, [who] precipitated himself upon the New World with a hundred-odd dollars and an English grammar as his only possessions."
