Saddlestitched pamphlet. Bound in original cream colored wraps. Covers very slightly soiled. Rear cover chipped at edges. Slight vertical crease. Brooks was an influential proponent of the Liturgical Movement, the influence of which may be seen in Trinity Church, Philadelphia, which was constructed while he was rector. He is commemorated on January 23 on the Episcopal Kalendar. A scarce copy of this interesting contemporary argument to the contrary by the rector of Church of the Incarnation, Washington D.C.
