Fine binding featuring hubbed spine with gilt border on both covers and gilt decorations on spine; marbled page edges and end papers. All Volumes feature full-page illustrations by Alfred Johannot and other artists.

All Volumes show shelf wear; Volume I has a portion missing at the top edge of the spine; Volume IV has a thin 3" tear at the outer edge of the front cover. All volumes are tightly bound with no splits. With the exception of foxing, the pages are free of stains and writing. No loose pages. Overall a very good condition complete set
