Very Good hardcover edition, has a bookplate on the front pastedown from a prominent businessman in Nashville, TN. Inscribed and signed by Cleveland on the second blank endpaper. Inscription says, "Col. James Benet from Grover Cleveland dated May 6, 1892." There is wear to the spine ends and corner tips, scattered rubs and spots on the boards. Binding is tight and text is clean. ; 4to 11" - 13" tall; 578 pages; Signed by Author .

Minor rubbing to the spine tips and corners. Just about Fine. Quarto (8" x 11") bound in the original brown cloth. This copy is SIGNED by the President on the first blank months before his election to his historic nonconsecutive second term to "John P. Irish/from/Grover Cleveland/May 1, 1892." John Powell Irish (1843-1923) was a leader of the Democratic Party in Iowa and an opponent of prejudice against Japanese, the Chinese Exclusion Act of 1882, women's suffrage, and labor unions.
