Historical notes about Ridgeford, Connecticut, first opened for settlement in 1712 in the American colony's northeast corner. Short history-based stories and sketches fill the pages showing the growth of this small New England Town, with some emphasis on Puritan leanings. Acknowledgment is given to the editors of "The American Mercury" and "Yankee" for permission to reprint chapters first published therein. Inside rear board is small blue and white sticker: "Witkower's Booksellers & Stationers, 77-79 Asylum St., Hartford, Conn."
