In 1980 "In order to meet the demand of visitors, here the brief reports on the excavations of three pits written by the Archaeological Excavation Team of Qin Shi Huang Pottery Figures of Warriors and Horses of Shaanzi Provincial Committee for the Protection and Reservation of Historical Relics and published in Wenwu (Cultural Relics) have been collected and published...for the reference of the researchers or as souvenirs. This is the first volume and the other volumes will follow." Begins with a section on the history of the Qin dynasty.
