About This Item

Montana Record Publishing, 1964-01-01. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good+/No DJ. Hardcover, Signed by the Author Stated First Edition Volume II 1964 Montana Record Publishing 248 pages plus 64 pages of vintage B&W photographs of early Montana of which the majority are full page. Very Good+, no DJ. Just a touch of shelf/edge wear to red pebble-grain cloth boards with gilt titles - corners sharp. Photo end papers. Only flaw is the title page and the opposite introduction page have a shadow from some newsprint being laid in. Also, there is a faint odor of cigarette smoke. The Author signed his name in ink on the last page of the book over his picture. Last Chance Gulch is another name for Helena, Montana. Covers an eleven year period in the History of Helena, Montana from the first full year of statehood, 1890, through the turn of the century, 1900. Chapters of this book first appeared in installments in The Helena Masonic News and The Montana Masonic News. Handsome vintage copy. LOC SSS-27
