About This Item
Edinburgh, Scotland: Edinburgh, Scotland, John Menzies & Co., Hanover Street / Perth, David Wood, 1869, 1st Edition, First Printing , 1869. -----------hardcover, a solid Good example, light edge wear, overall rubbing, fading to the spine, front hinge is cracked but NOT broken, some age toning and foxing to the paper, this copy has been signed on the half title page "Mrs. Fergusson" who was most likely the wife of the author, Samuel F died in 1869 which was the same year as this was published so the author might have never seen this book published or he died shortly after publication, this leads me to believe that the Mrs. Fergusson signature was his wife ( Margaret Anderson, died 1885 ), as well this has been signed on the title page RMenzies Fergusson Logie Manse Bridge of Allan, R is for Robert who was the minister at Logie Manse from 1885 to 1909 so this was signed by RMF in 1885 or after, ---the likelihood is that MRS F's signature was much earlier BUT it might have been 1885 (the year she died ), any image directly beside this listing is the actual book and not a generic photo /// SIGNED (by the author of Records of the clan and name of Fergusson Ferguson and Fergus 1895 and [maybe] the wife of Samuel Fergusson ---, any image directly beside this listing is the actual book and not a generic photo /// SIGNED (see description) ---GUARANTEED to be AVAILABLE/// ---sizes are approximate (generally within 1/8 inch)---.
