About This Item
New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1921. First edition. Hardcover. 282pp. Octavo [20.5 cm] Green cloth covered boards with gilt stamped titles. Very good. The edges of the covers are gently bumped and rubbed. The front endsheet has a former owner's bookplate and name in pen. There is a 1/2 inch split in the front endsheet along the hinge. The rear hinge is a little weak. The pages are slightly browned. Quentin Roosevelt was the youngest son of Theodore Roosevelt. On July 14, 1918, he was shot down by two German flyers while on active duty in WWI at the age of 20.
