About This Item
New York: The Macmillan Company, 1916. Hardcover. 181pp. Octavo [19.5 cm] Dark green cloth covered boards with gilt stamped titles on the spine and front cover. With advertisements from the publisher on the last several pages. Very good. Extremities very gently bumped and rubbed. The spine has a very slight lean to it. There is a former owner's name in small pen along the top edge of the front pastedown. The pages are lightly browned. The dust jacket is in good condition. Alternately age-toned and faded. Also with some small faint marks, and very lightly soiled. There are numerous small losses from the chipped edges. There are a couple of small open tears along the folds. The top edge has several closed tears. The long closed tear is along the fold of the spine, and measures 2 and 1/2 inches long. John G. Neihardt also wrote Black Elk Speaks.
