1903. Illustrated. New York and London: Harper & Brothers, 1903. 4 pp undated ads. Original red cloth.

First Edition of this collection of three tales involving spirits or ghosts -- "describing the entry of a very etiolated supernatural into the lives of the leisured, moneyed class of the turn of the century" [Bleiler]. They are "His Apparition," "The Angel of the Lord" and "Though One Rose from the Dead." This copy has a Christmas 1904 inscription on the front endpaper, but is in fine, bright condition. Blanck 9752; Bleiler Supernatural Fiction 865.
