Hardcover with dust jacket, published by Association Press, 1969. The first edition of this version of the book was published in 1962, this copy is an eighth printing from 1969. The dust jacket is intact and is not price clipped, original price of $4.50 is printed on the top corner of the front flap. Dorothy Carnegie, Dale Carnegie's wife, updated and revised the book based on Dale's notes. Some topics covered include; 'Selling' an idea at a business meeting, convincing a group of skeptics, teaching a method or explaining a subject, making a fund-raising speech, addressing a convention or meeting, accepting an award, and much more! 272 pages, 5-1/2 X 8". Wonderful vintage references throughout the book. Wheat colored cloth covered boards, with the author name and title imprinted in purple on the spine. Boards are flat, the corners are not bumped or creased. The dust jacket has some age tanning to the spine panel. Jacket has been protected with a clear, removable cover. Edges of the text block are clean. No former ownership marks, no writing on the text pages. The binding is tight and square. The attached photo is of the copy we have in our inventory.
