(1st edition, 1st printing) Very large, very thick sturdy softcover, background in shades of black and gray with elaborate white swirl designs, and image of owl and other wild creatures in background in-cluding inside wrappers, praise from Hilary Mantel and Kate Atkinson, 517 pages plus a decorated page. Pages 481-492 improperly cut. A micronick at top front edge near spine. Very Good.
Synopsis
LAUREN OWEN studied English Literature at St. Hilda's College, Oxford, before completing an MA in Creative Writing at the University of East Anglia, where she received the 2009 Curtis Brown prize for the best fiction dissertation. The Quick is her first novel. She lives in Durham, England.
