About This Item

Very good. Handwritten four-page legal document between Josiah S. Eastman and Mary A. Cushing, transferring land in Pembroke, New Hampshire to Cushing for $500. (8 1/2" x 11"). This was recorded in June 1881. This deed is highly unusual for the period in that it excludes Mary Cushing's husband. Mary Cushing received the property "in her own right. "Two horizontal creases but otherwise a clean copy.
