Containing verses such as 'The Milkmaid', 'Hey Diddle Diddle', 'The Great Panjandrum Himself' and 'A Farmer Went Trotting Upon his Grey Mare'.Written and illustrated by Randolph Caldecott (1846-1886), an illustrator and artist known for his illustrations of fairy-tales, with his other works including 'The House that Jack Built' and 'John Gilpin'.Undated; dated from copies held on Jisc.Illustrated with in-text line drawings, as well as full plates in colour by Caldecott.Bound in the publisher's original bright and decorative cloth.A smart collection of songs, accompanied with colourful illustrations. In the publisher's original full cloth binding. Externally very smart, with just a little general wear. Internally, binding is generally firm, with a little straining occasionally. Pages have the odd mark. Very Good
