"The Feminism and Nonviolence Study Group began in 1976 after many of its members attended an international conference on Women in the Nonviolent Movement at Les Circauds in France. the Summer 1978 issue of the Women's Liberation Movement (WLM) magazine, Shrew, under the title 'Neither Victim nor Assassin'. We touched on particular areas that we felt the WLM had neglected in considering violence and nonviolence. We followed publication by holding workshops on the issues.
