About This Item

1669 Greek Mythology Boccalini Parnassus Satire Italian Authors Monmouth 2v SET

Trajano Boccalini was a 16th-century Italian author known for his most important work "Ragguagli di Parnaso". This work is a story on mythology in which he satirizes the works and lives of other Italian authors through the lens of Apollo. This 1669 Italian edition was published in Amsterdam in two leather-bound tomes. A beautiful edition – in fact, Brunet calls this edition 'the prettiest'.
