Profusely illustrated with more than 165 photographs. Fine in crisp but lightly edgeworn dust jacket. An illustrated history of the railroad caboose car, which got its name from the nautical world as a term for an on-deck galley where cooking was done. This indeed was its first use in 19th century railroading.
