Some rubbing and fading to cloth coverboards; small bumps on corners and both ends of spine; previous owner's name in pencil on first blank page; pages are lightly tanned. Floral endpapers; embossed boards with gilt title. Clean text for a book published in 1887.; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 269 pages .

Book seller stamp to front free end-paper. Thumb-marking present. Cracking to gutters, no damage to end paper. Some occasional mild cracking to gutters throughout, binding remains reasonably firm. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Mild crushing to spine ends. Book has a slight forward lean. Gilt lettering is darkened. Moderate tanning to spine. Cloth has minor damp and dust stains.
