Reviews

On Dec 21 2011, DHoeh said:
This is a classic Civil War book from the 1940's. There is a great perspective from that era because it was closer to the events of the "War". Not long ago my Grandmother passed away at 90. She was from the South and it did not take long for people to realize that when she talked about family history and "The War" she always meant the Civil War. Yes she saw the results of WW1 and lived through WW2, Korea, and Vietnam, but "The War" was the Civil War (War Between the States, AKA the War of Northern Aggression). Confederate Calvary will always bring feelings of respect and awe. I find it very useful to read books from this era as we as a country was fighting for freedom for the world. I recommend the book.

About AST Press

I have been selling books dealing with the Indian wars, especially George Custer, since 1986. I first published my own books under my own imprint of AST Press. More recently, I have published my books through other publishers, most notably the University of Oklahoma Press. I also buy and resell the book collections of other individuals. Other genres now include the Civil War, Old West, biographies and others. We are always open to by collections. I sell through our own web site, Indianwarsbooks.com, and others such as Biblio.com. I also continue to set up my inventory books at shows, including the Little Big Horn Associates, the Custer Battlefield Historical & Museum Assn. and Civil War shows.
