Boston and NY: Houghton Mifflin, 1903. First edition, first state. Hardcover. Very Good. 5 x 7 1/2 in. x, 327 pgs. Green pictoral cloth boards with green lettering and borders, publisher's name and hollyhocks on spine, and publisher's name in 1/16 inch type at base of spine. First edition, 1st state with "Don't go to the side door" on pg 325, "Glowing in the sun of that October noon" on 327. Condition is Very Good, very light wear to spine ends, slight spine slant, previous owner's name in pencil on ffep, text is very clean and unmarked, binding is tight. RRGR. ETS.

Synopsis

Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm is a classic American 1903 children's novel by Kate Douglas Wiggin. Rebecca Rowena Randall goes to live with her two stern aunts in the village of Riverboro in Maine. Her joy for life ends up inspiring them. She faces many trials in her young life, but comes through them with more wisdom and understanding. Wiggin wrote a sequel, New Chronicles of Rebecca.
