[6], III, [1], 416 pp.Cornelis van Eldik (1791-1857) was a Dutch medical doctor and in obstetrics. He was a teacher of medicine, a member of several medical committees in his hometown of Nijmegen. Together with his friend doctor A. Moll he edited a very successful medical journal: Practisch Tijdschrift voor de Geneeskunde in al haren omvang. Van Eldik wrote several works, mostly on obstetrics, but also on general medicine like the present work.Some damage to the head and foot of the spine, hinges somewhat weakened, covers slightly rubbed, corners show some signs of wear, small ink stain on the fore-edge. Visible watermarks in the first and last flyleaves, very slight foxing throughout. Overall in good condition.l BMN p. 378; cf. NNBW, p. 347.
