Woodcut illustrations by Adachi and Tatsuo. Covers designed by the author. Printed wrappers with a tiny tear on the back cover along with creased corner tip and light edge dust soil. An uncommon, regional cookbook with 3 other copies found in the trade. Hera Ware Owen was the Palau Museum Director and contributed to the Micronesian Reporter newsletter. Recipes from the South Seas is source of regional recipes which includes the history, how-to-gathering and use of native ingredients such as Fruit Bat, Crocodile, Giant Clam, Incubator Bird, and Sea Urchin among others. ; 8vo ; fair .
