New York, Chicago [etc.]: Fleming H. Revell Company, (1912) 1st edition. SIGNED by Zephine Humphrey. An informal memoir by the noted New England writer of life and travels with her beloved mother, Harriet L. Sykes Humphrey (1832-1910.) Signed and inscribed on the front free endpaper with her married name: "Greetings to a friend of my friends / Zephine Humphrey Fahnestock / Dorset, [Vermont] 1941." 292 pages. 8vo hardcover, about 8 by 5.5 inches. Gray paper-covered boards with red titling and decorative border; paper spine label. Fair to Good condition only. Front hinge cracked but holding. Binding weak along the front joint. Chipped at head of spine about one-quarter inch, not affecting spine label. Text clean and unmarked. Clean internally. Book is protected by a new clear archival dust jacket. An imperfect but intact copy of a book that is quite scarce in any condition, and doubly so with the signature of Zephine Humphrey (1874-1956.).
