About This Item

New York: Jenkins & Thomas, Printers, 1881. First edition. Thick 8vo, 219pp. Illustrated with tipped in albumen portraits, errata slip tipped in at front. Blue cloth decorated in black and lettered in gilt. Boards just starting to fray at spine ends and corners. Gilt lettering remains bright. Front hinge starting, as usual with this title, pages a bit wavy from the weight of the photographs. Some paper residue from an old label on the front endpaper else clean internally. Very good.

Sound copy of this uncommon piece of Yale history, copiously illustrated with photographs.  Notable alumni in this publication include Henry Carrington, James Tappan, and William B. Woods.
