William Blackwood & Sons, 1857 This is a beautiful two volume set bound in full polished calf with gilt double borders. There are five raised bands with four dancing lions, brown and black leather spine labels. There is a scratch [not penetrating the leather] and the lower tips are darkened on volume 2. The endpapers have the slightest bit of foxing. Each volume with the book plate of Lawrence A Waldron in front, Marino Killiney in back. Waldron [12 Nov 1858-27 Dec 1923] was an M P representing the Irish Parliamentary Party and Marino Killiney was his home.
