Hardcover, tan cloth and pony pasted to front cover with blue border, top edge blue, blue spine and gilt title (corners bent & worn, spine bumped & bit frayed, front & back covers are soiled, with some stains and marks, toning to some margins, marks in gutter of single page, single mark to top of a page, owner's signature to half-title page, otherwise interior and endpapers are unmarked, some dampstains to fore edge). No slipcase.
Good condition.

Synopsis
"The Red Pony" is an episodic novella written by American writer John Steinbeck in 1933. The first three chapters were published in magazines from 1933–1936, and the full book was published in 1937 by Viking Penguin. The stories in the book are tales of a boy named Jody Tiflin. The book has four different stories about Jody and his life on his father's California ranch.
