Contemporary half leather, marbled paper boards. marbled endpapers. Spine in six compartments, gilt. The binding is scuffed and worn, especially at the edges, but intac;, the upper hinge has a neat repair; and the boards are rubbed. The binding is good only, but the textblock is very good and fresh.
Large Paper edition: 9½ by 12 inches.
With the engraved bookplate of Justin Austin Sperry. On the front free endpaper is pasted a chromolithographed picture of a person who, from his clothing, is a Renaissance lawyer.
