Description:
New York: Macmillan Company, 1925. Hardcover. Good. First edition. Octavo. 223, [1]pp. Brown cloth gilt. Ownership stamp and signature of a noted psychologist Henry Guze (co-founder with Albert Ellis of the Society for the Scientific Study of Sex) on front fly, tiny tear at crown and some staining on first few leaves thus only good. Laid gilt on spine a little dull, very good or better. Laid in are two items: a postcard inviting Guze to a lecture by Haire at a private office, and another Typed Letter Signed by Albert Ellis to Guze inviting him to an address by Haire at a private home (small tear in margin of the letter). According to Wikipedia, "Haire was an Australian medical practitioner and sexologist. He has been called "the most prominent sexologist in Britain" between the wars." He was famous for his sexual "rejuvenation" treatments, including his patient W.B. Yeats.
