About This Item
Glasgow : David Bryce and Son., 1896. Cloth. Very Good Indeed. 15.5" by 11.5". Thomas Fairbairn. A collection of drawings by Thomas Fairbairn. These drawings indicate some of the fascinating architecture and beautiful picturesque scenes in Glasgow. This is a special re-issue of fifty copies of a work published in 1895 and only fifty copies were published, hence rather hard to find. Collated, complete with all thirty plates. With accompanying text by James Pagan and James H Stoddart. Loosely inserted are several colour prints of Fairbairn's works printed in 1982. In a full cloth binding with gilt stamping to the spine and to the front board. Externally, generally smart with bumping to the head and tail of spine and to the extremities. Small patches of light rubbing to the extremities and to the head and tail of spine. Evidence of label removal to the recto of front endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright with the occasional light spots. Very Good Indeed
