An introduction to the history of cartography as concerned with the art of map-making as the science. Hardcover in terracotta boards with silver titling on the spine. Colour illustrations throughout. Bibliography and Index. Mildly worn dust jacket is a bit loose: the fold to the front flap has been stretched and mis-formed by, I suspect, being used a book mark. Binding square and firm. Text block has a mild wave through it. Mild wear otherwise. No markings by any previous owner.
