Written by Charles T. Spedding, a British sailor and writer, for many years Purser of the Aquitania. In the original blue cloth binding. Externally, smart with rubbing and minor bumping to the extremities. Fading to the spine with the odd small mark to the boards. A split in the cloth to the head of the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd spot or handling mark. Light spotting and age toning to the endpapers. Good

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
